Warning signs of Diabetes

Many people are unaware that they have diabetes. However there are certain warning signs that will alert the intelligent lay person to the presence of diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes
• Frequent urination in large amounts
• Excessive thirst
• Extreme hunger all the time
• Sudden weight loss for no apparent reason
• Weakness, drowsiness or fatigue
• Tingling/numbness in the limbs
• Irritability
Type 2 Diabetes
• Any type 1 symptoms
• Frequent infections
• Sudden vision changes or blurred vision
• Cuts/bruises that are slow to heal
• Recurring skin, gum or bladder infections
